We publish in Arabic, French, and English. Submit in any of these languages. We provide translation for accepted pieces.
News articles: 600-1200 words. Investigations: 1500-3000 words. Op-eds: 800-1200 words. Data stories: flexible with visualizations.
All claims must be sourced. We require at least two independent sources for factual claims. Official documents, data, and on-record interviews are preferred.
Authors retain copyright. Med Mosaic gets first publication rights and a non-exclusive license to republish. Authors can republish elsewhere after 48 hours.
Commissioned articles: $150-500 depending on length and complexity. Grant-funded investigations: up to $5,000. Unsolicited submissions: case by case.
Submit as Google Doc, Word, or plain text. Include a 2-line bio, headshot, and social media links. Images should be at least 1200px wide with credits.
Disclose any conflicts of interest. Do not accept payment from sources. Protect confidential sources. Follow our editorial code of conduct.
We respond to pitches within 10 days. Commissioned articles have a deadline agreed with the editor. Editing takes 3-5 business days after submission.
